One of our suppliers used UPS instead of Fed Ex which we normally specify as the preferred shipper.Our shipping dock closes at 3:30 pm.
There are Signs posted that clearly state it and all our shipping companies know it. UPS attempted to deliver at 4:50 pm on a holiday. No one was at the dock to receive (big shock) so they hit our company with a $93 "redelivery charge".
I have never heard of such a thing.We contacted customer service to and complain and hopefully get the charge reversed, but instead got the "it's our policy" excuse.
